Sharon “Kay” Arney was born to Alvin and Opal Turner in Amarillo. She met the love of her life Clinton Arney on a blind date; they were married for 48 years. They had three children Larry, Steve and Shannah. Kay was a hairdresser for over 25 years. Granny enjoyed spending time with her family, but the light of her life were her grandchildren. She spent time loving and caring for her roses that she grew in the back yard, her favorite were her red roses. She was a member of Harvest Time Penacostal Church of God for many years. Granny was the strongest person we have ever known.
No matter what the case, she was always smiling, praying, loving and she was always there for others. She was a remarkable loyal women with a sense of devotion and love greater than the world. Most people will never encounter a person whose life could compare to the love that she gave to everyone who was lucky enough to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister Laverne “Tootsie” Zachery.
She is survived by her husband Clinton Arney. Her children; Larry Arney and wife Cindy; Steve Arney and wife Amanda and Shannah Heymer.
Siblings Harold Turner and wife Laverne; Rene Morris, Francis Messer, Lela Chandler, and Shirley Lyle and husband John.
Grandchildren Justin, Kayti, Colton, Trevor, C.J., Jacee, Rylie, Mimi, Tanner, Tyler and Trapper, along with 13 great grandchildren.
