Joshua Todd Byars

Joshua was born March 24, 1989, in Amarillo. He graduated from Randall High School in 2007, and attended Amarillo College. He married Samantha DeVine on Aug. 18, 2012. He worked as a trailer mechanic for Amarillo Thermo King since 2012. He was drummer and enjoyed music and video games.

Joshua was a devoted husband and a wonderful son, brother and friend. He was a member of Washington Avenue Christian Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Ruth Breeding; an uncle, Randy Breeding; and his grandparents, Marvin and Opal Byars.

Survivors include his wife, Samantha Byars; a son on the way in February, Oliver James Byars; his father, Tracy Byars and wife Patti of Amarillo; his mother, Rhonda Byars of Amarillo; his father-in-law, Rick DeVine and wife Sheri of Avery; his mother-in-law, Shauna Ashley and husband David of Amarillo; two brothers, Jordan Byars and Britt Foster; three sisters, Holly Gonzales and husband Matt, Gabrielle Ashley and fiancé Wariner Tatum, Ashlee Davis and Alicia Davis, all of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorials be to The Joshua T. Byars Celebration Fund at Amarillo National Bank.
