Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with John Michael Lane and Melanie Kinnamon as officiants.
Entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. John was born December 24, 1916 in Milam County, Texas to George and Hattie Godwin Knight.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
John married May Willis in 1938. She preceded him in death in 1996. In 1999 John married Dorothy Scott. He lived and worked in Amarillo in the Office Machine business for many years. John was a member of Valleyview Nazarene Church.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, May Willis Knight in 1996.
John is survived by his wife, Dorothy Scott Knight of Belton; daughters, Sue Lane of Belton and Donna Elder of Oklahoma; also by 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
