Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Family Life Fellowship with the Rev. Dale Travis officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Joan was born April 30, 1933, in Denison to Josie and Bernice McCarley. She married Paul R. Miller on May 1, 1952. She was a member of Family Life Fellowship and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, camping and fishing. She retired from Amarillo State Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
Survivors include her husband, Paul R. Miller; two sons, Stan Miller and wife Djuna and Tommy Miller, all of Amarillo; a daughter, Rhonda Elmore and husband Randy of Amarillo; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family suggests memorials be to Don and Sybil Herrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
