Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with Chaplain Ken Haney of Interim Hospice officating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Mr. Cameron was born Feb. 13, 1928, in Slayton to James and Bessie Cameron. He married Edna Palmer on Aug. 25, 1958. He served in the Army during World War II. James was a heavy machine operator and work for Leon Cox trucking for five years before working for Gilvin and Terrell for 30 years before retiring in 1992. He enjoyed dancing and after retirement he enjoyed buying, fixing and selling electronics. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Cameron of Amarillo; a sister, Ruth Burnside of Elkhart, Kan.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
