James Bryan passed away November 26, 2022 in Amarillo, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm at CrossRoads Country Church with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. James was born in Gotebo Oklahoma on May 26, 1935 to Gilbert and Elaine Bryan. He attended Claude High School and West Texas State University.
He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps where he was a Marksman Instructor. He married Patsy Miller in December 3, 1954. James worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 40 years. He was active in The Rotary Club of Amarillo for many many years. His family was very important to him. He loved having family gatherings at the house where we played crochet and dominos, loved entertaining family and friends. He loved water skiing, and trailer camping. He enjoyed driving his family on vacations every summer.
He loved his 2 grandkids and was very proud of his grandson for being a Marine (just like him).
Was the best grandpa in the Puckett neighborhood. He started snow skiing at age 65 on family vacations with his grandkids.
James is preceded in death by his wife Patsy Ruth (Miller) Bryan; his parents Gilbert and Elaine Bryan; Gayle (sister) and Gilbert (Brother in Law) Mayorga.
He is survived by Karen Goodin (sister) and Richard Goodin (husband); Twila Bryan Richvalsky (Daughter) David John Richvalsky (Son in Law) Alaska; Tawnya Jan Bryan (Daughter) Texas; Kelsey Bryan DeMarce (granddaughter) Alaska; David James Richvalsky (grandson) and Samatha Rae Richvalsky (granddaughter in law) Alaska; Rylee Elizabeth DeMarce (great granddaughter Alaska; Wade David Richvalsky (great grandson) Alaska.
