Funeral service will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. August 24, 2015 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories Rev Mark Rector officiating.
Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East.
Howard was born to Tillman and Dorthy Willis on January 28, 1940 in Sullivan, Indiana. He was part of a family of 11 brothers and sisters. He graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a degree in Business Administration. He served his country valiantly for 21 years achieving the rank of Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Upon his retirement from the air force he went to work at Pantex for over 20 years. His many accomplishments include being a Vietnam veteran serving 3 tours, a 32nd degree mason, a member of The Shriner’s, a member of the disabled veterans, a member of the San Jacinto Lodge, a member of the Scottish Rite of Lubbock. One of his most proudest moments was being selected to go on the Honor Flight from Amarillo to Washington DC.
He is preceded in death by his parents Tillman and Dorothy Willis and a son Larry Willis.
He is survived his wife Doris of Amarillo, a son Keneth Willis of Amarillo a daughter Lindi Willis of Amarillo, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
