Helen was born in Shattuck, Oklahoma on January 27, 1927 to Fred and Marie Meller. She was one of seven children. Helen graduated high school and then moved to Amarillo, Texas.
Helen started her nursing school at Saint Anthony’s graduating as a Resident Nurse (RN) on September 19th, 1949. she met the love of her life Charles Nolan Jackson durning her nursing school. They married soon after on October 1st, 1949. They welcomed their first child Linda Marie Jackson Brown on July 21st, 1954 and they welcomed their second child, a son, Larry Dean Jackson on September 7th, 1957 who spread his wings to fly to heaven unexpectedly just a couple of days later due to complications at birth. They then welcomed their third and final child Brenda Lee Jackson Stokes on May 4th, 1959. They loved their girls with all of their hearts and the girls loved them just as much.
The love that Helen and Charles shared was absolutely beautiful, you could tell just by the way they looked at one another or laughed together. They were always so sweet. They never did anything apart nor did they ever want to. Even on their last days on earth their love was just as evident as it was on day one.
Helen loved her family, neighbors, and friends so much. She was her happiest when she was surrounded by her loved ones, baking and cooking for them. She was always such a great caregiver any time one of her grandchildren were sick. She always went above and beyond to ensure everyone was taken care of.
Some of her most cherished moments were spent worshiping her lord and savior. Helen was strong in her faith and her love for the Lord.
She loved to paint oil paintings, work on crafts with her husband, and sew. She was an amazing cook and an even better seamstress. She loved to knit and quilt and she even made both of her daughters wedding dresses.
She is survived by her loving daughters Linda Brown and husband Scott Brown, Brenda Stokes and husband Stacy Stokes, Two brothers Elvin Meller and wife Sue Meller and Leon Meller, four grandchildren, Trevor Lightfoot and wife Meredith Lightfoot, Sabrina Moomaw and husband Jeremy Moomaw, Landon Stokes and wife Kris Stokes, Kristen Scrimpsher and husband Barrett Scrimpsher. Seven Great-Grandchildren, Dresden Moomaw and fiancé Tanner Cordova, Rhett Whitley, Devonie Scrimpsher, Alysa Stokes, Amberlyn Scrimpsher, Avery Stokes, and Colby Scrimpsher.
She is preceded in Heaven by her parents Fred and Marie Meller, her loving husband Charles Nolan Jackson, Her son Larry Dean Jackson, three brothers and one sister Dave Meller, Clarence Meller, Edward Meller, and Viola Hamburger.
