Hazel Black of Amarillo passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018. Her funeral service will be Friday, May 25 at Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Pioneer chapel at 2 pm.

Hazel was born December 19, 1925 to George and Emily Clark in Childress, Texas. She met the love of her life Samuel Howard Black while working as a waitress in Childress, Texas. She was a homemaker to her family until they were raised. Then she went to work at Travis Jr. High in the cafeteria. She loved to cook, fish, shop and most of all spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Howard Black, a daughter, Linda Addison and a son Dana Black.

Survivors include a son Tim Black and his wife Linda of Goodnight, TX. Two daughters; Sherri Rekieta and husband Johnny of Arlington, TX and Susan Bailey and husband Jeff of Amarillo; 13 Grandchildren; 25 Great-grandchildren and four Great-great-grandchildren.
