Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerald Chadwick, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Earl served his country during World War II in the Pacific Theater with the U.S. Navy. He met the love of his life, Fern Kunz, at Central Baptist Church while on leave in 1946. Shortly after the war, he returned home and married Fern and just recently celebrated 64 years of marriage.
Earl graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo., and in May 1960 they moved to Korea and over the years started 18 churches that are still active today. He served the Lord in the mission field for 42 years.
He was a member of his home church, Central Baptist Church, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; two sisters; and a grandson, Ricky Thorson.
Surivivors include his wife, Fern Patrick; a son, Johnny Russell Patrick and wife Colleen of Oroville, Calif.; three daughters, Diana Jolly and husband Larry, Charlotte Ruby and husband Terry, and Connie Thorson, all of Amarillo; a brother, L.D. Patrick and wife Mickey of Abilene; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to George Patrick Korean Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 191, Springfield, MO 65801.
