Gale was born in Portales, NM , July 26, 1950 to Harold and Jessie Stewart. He moved to Amarillo and graduated from Caprock High School. Gale worked at Metro Electric, then at Bell Helicopter for 20 years, then at Honeycomb as an airplane mechanic. He served his country in the US Army from 1973 to 1977. Gale loved riding motorcycles, camping, fishing at the lake and working on small engines. He was a member of the Jokers Motorcycle Club for several years. Gale was a very generous man and had many lifelong friends. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Gale was preceded in death by his birth mother, Jessie Mae Stewart, his step mother, Lillian; 3 brothers, Jimmy Don, Dale and Michael Stewart; and his grandparents

Gale is survived by his father, Harold D. Stewart and wife Sandy of Amarillo; 3 brothers, Paul David Stewart and wife Jean of Corpus Christi, Tinkey Stewart and wife Jackie of Amarillo, and Stanley Stewart of Amarillo; a half-brother, Steven Edwards of Midland; a sister, Crystal Harrison of Corpus Christi; 2 sisters-in-law, Vicky and Linda Stewart both of Amarillo and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles..
