Floyd F. Brown

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Trinity Fellowship Church, North Student Ministry Center with Chester Brown officiating.

Burial will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell.

Floyd was born November 1, 1928 in Spring, Texas to Emma and Marion Brown. At an early age he started driving a truck and found a love for wide-open spaces. He served in the US Army from 1950-1952. Floyd met Martha Lee while hauling broomcorn from her father’s farm. They married in 1954 and were married for 54 years. Floyd farmed and ranched at their places in Endee, NM, San Angelo, and Vega. In the late 1960’s, Floyd was named Farmer of the Year in San Angelo for his conservation efforts.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife Martha Louise Lee Brown.

Floyd is survived by two sons, Floyd Lee and wife Charvena of Amarillo and Louis of Bard, NM; a daughter, Anna Greenlee and husband Jeff of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Chester, Marianna, Robin, Karen, Caleb, Noah, Sarah and Colton; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 at the funeral home.
