Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Jerry Davey officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Cemetery, 2301 N. Sylvania Ave., in Fort Worth. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Miss Mackie was born Jan. 13, 1940, in Fort Worth to Joe and Mary Lillian Jarvis. She received a degree in education and was a teacher early in her life. Ann was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and song leader for 16 years. While her kids were in school, she served as a Parent Teacher Association president at Oakdale, Bowie and Caprock High School. Ann also served as a Boy Scout den mother while her boys were scouting age. She loved animals and took in rescue dogs. Her first priority was being a loving mother to her family and looking after the many extended family members she met along the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Mackie of Amarillo and Kevin Mackie of Littleton, Colo.; a daughter, Kathleen Mackie of Amarillo; a sister, Mary Jo Neal and husband Jack of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren, Trystan, Joshua, Lillian, Liv and Liam Mackie and Joetta Mackie and husband Jimmie Smith, all of Amarillo; and a great-grandson, William Smith of Amarillo.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
