Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Pastor Ronnie Woodward officiating.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Directors
Visitation is Sunday 6pm-8pm at the funeral home
Edward was born December 10, 1940 in West Newton, Penn. on Gobbler’s Knob mountain to William Lamar Lovett and Pauline Leighy. He passed from this life on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. The family moved to Amarillo in 1950 where Edward attended Horace Mann middle school. He grew up across the street from his eventual wife and one true love, Linda Hinders. Edward was a professional plumber for 34 years until he retired at the age of 71. He loved woodworking, car races at Route 66 Speedway and was an avid Texas Rangers fan. Edward loved spending time with his family and grandkids. He would do anything for anybody and enjoyed serving his fellow man.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda, a brother, T.W. Lovett, and 2 sisters, Marlene Schwab and Helen Lovett
Edward is survived by 2 sons, Danny Lovett and wife Debbie of Wynnewood, OK and Steve Lovett and wife Ronda of Amarillo; 3 daughters, Brenda Wallis and husband Larry of McLean, Renee Warner and husband Billy of Amarillo and Traci Lovett and husband Michael of Amarillo; 2 brothers, Wick Lovett of Penn. and Leroy Lovett of Amarillo; a sister, Imogene Stout of Amarillo; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
