Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Life Tabernacle Church with the Rev. Louis Clark, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Donald was born Feb. 5, 1937, in Mobeetie. He moved with his family to Hereford in 1948, where he attended high school. Donald served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962 when he was honorably discharged. After living in Cadillac, Mich., he moved to Amarillo in 1978. He worked as an auto-body mechanic for several years at Ideal Body Shop.
Donald had his pilot license and enjoyed flying his plane. He also enjoyed painting country and western pictures. He was an excellent musician who played the guitar, sang country and gospel music.
Donald had been a devoted Christian since he was 21 years old, and an active member of Life Tabernacle Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Linda Bobo and husband Gaylon of Portales, N.M., Kelli Bacle of Rockport and Nellie Jean Zellner and husband Raymond of Albuquerque, N.M.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and an aunt, Ruth Brown of Amarillo.
