She was born November 9, 1957 in Hereford, Tx. to Margarito and Josie Lucero, and resided in Amarillo, Tx. Corine had a heart of gold and was loved by so many especially all her family and friends. She loved and cared for all her siblings as her own children, she enjoyed spending time with all her family. Corine was strong in her Catholic faith, her favorite past time was spending time with family, fishing, camping, casinos and cooking for her family. She worked for Coca- Cola Company for many years until they closed the Amarillo facility, she then went to work for Wal-Mart until her retirement. Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved sister.
Corine is survived by her best friend; Beverly Pennucci, brothers; Pedro Lucero and wife Mary, Johnny Lucero and wife Anita, Chris Lucero and wife Paulette, Benjamin Lucero and wife Lisa, Lawrence Lucero and wife Lisa, and Eric Lucero and wife Whitney, sisters; Connie Torres and Fiance’ Jason, Patsy Fuentes and husband Eusebio Jr., and Melissa Shepherd and husband Michael, 7 grandchildren, 33 nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Margarito Lucero passing January 30, 2019, Josie Lucero passing November 7, 2002, brothers; Edward Marvin Lucero passing March 11, 1996, Roger Reynaldo Lucero passing August 27, 1998, Margarito Lucero Jr. passing March 3, 2016, Earl Lee Lucero, and Daniel Lucero, nephews; Anthony Edward Lucero passing May 15, 2022, Timothy Kirk Mendez passing January 21, 2023, and Shad Lee Wright Jr. passing February 16, 2015, one niece; Sarah Henrietta Salinas passing January 5, 2023.
Corine will be missed by both her family and friends. “Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.”
