Clenton D. Pierce of Amarillo passed away surrounded by his loving family on September 14, 2024. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 15, from 5-7 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 am on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, with burial to follow.
Clenton was born on March 2, 1945, in Memphis, Texas to George W. Pierce and L. Katheleen Stone Pierce. He grew up in Plaska, Texas on his family’s farm. He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1963. He married the love of his life Diane on July 10, 1976. He was the co-owner of Hi Plains Insulation for many years before retiring around 2010. He had a love for the Dallas Cowboys, and he loved fishing. The family would like to express a sincere thanks to Enhabit Hospice. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made in his honor to the Alzheimer’s association.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mother-in-law Barbara (Bobbie) Lehman and his father-in-law Bob Lehman, Three siblings and their spouses Lois Crone and her husband Gene of Midwest City, Nellie Lambert and husband Ray of Amarillo, Violet Waller and husband Charles of Amarillo. Two brothers in laws Al Billington of Amarillo and Larry Bailey of Childress. Two daughters in laws Jackie George Pierce and Richelle Hill Pierce along with four beautiful great grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Diane, son Billy Pierce of Hedley, TX, daughter Angie Colantonio and husband Butch of Amarillo, daughter Tonya Felder and husband Duane of Amarillo, and son Tony Breedlove of Amarillo. Two sisters Liz Billington Denham of Amarillo and Naomi Bailey of Childress, Fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
