Charles was born September 1, 1941 to Carl and Louise Williams in Amarillo Texas. Charles attended School in Amarillo where he attended Wolflin, Horace Mann, and Graduated Amarillo High May of 1960. High School activities included Wrestling and Chess.
On January 19, 1959, Charles’ father gave consent for him to join the Naval Reserves for 6 years. He was at the Naval Reserve training center San Diego May 7,1959, Naval Hospital Corpus Christi June of 1960, back to San Diego 11-25-1960 for Naval Hospital Corpsman school, then to Camp Lejeune N.C. for Marine Field Medical Service School in 1961. Charles finished his military career with an honorable discharge on February 1, 1965. Charles attended Amarillo College for welding after leaving the military and that would be his career for the next 40 plus years.
Charles met Ann Sharon Farrow in 1963. They dated a few years, then Married June 5, 1965. Charles and Sharon were married 57 years till her passing on October 6, 2022. Charles and Sharon had two children, Carl Dee Williams and Kimberly. Charles enjoyed gardening, Quail hunting, and playing poker.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Louise, wife Ann Sharon, and several adored uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Left on Earth to carry on Charles’ legacy are his Brother Dennis and wife Patty Williams and Their children Andrew and Jenifer, son; Carl Dee and wife Angie Williams, and Daughter Kimberly Kanoa Aponi, grandchildren: Destiney, Stetson and Kayla, Hailey, Hannah and Tristen, of Amarillo and Tori Yanke of Dalhart, great-grandchildren; Liberty, Mila, Enoch, and Kaiser of Amarillo, many nephews, nieces and cousins and friends.
Visitation for Charles will be held Thursday December 22, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00pm At Memorial Park Funeral Home 6969 Interstate 40 East Amarillo TX. 79118 A Funeral Service will occur Friday December 23, 2022 at 10 am also at Memorial park.
Serving as pallbearers are Hailey Clark, Carl Dee Williams, Kimberly Kanoa-Aponi, Stetson Williams, Tori Yanke, Tristen Stephenson, Mike Booth and Kevin Booth.
The Williams Family would like to give a heartfelt special thanks to all the wonderful workers at Landmark of Amarillo and extra special thanks to Leslie Lee.
