Charles "Charlie" Mears

Charles “Charlie” Mears, 67 passed away May 3, 2016. Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Pastor Jerry Davey officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Charlie was born in Amarillo on July 16, 1948. He proudly served on the USS Canberra while in the U.S. Navy. Charlie did a tour in Viet Nam. He was a resident of Pampa for the last 15 or so years and loved being a Disc Jockey. Charlie also loved to bowl. Above all his family, especially his grandchildren were his greatest joy. He will be forever missed by all who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his son, Derek Mears of Sayre, Oklahoma; daughters, Veronica Cavera and husband Joseph of Marne, Michigan and Makiya Mears of Pampa; also by his granddaughters, Destinee Kiel, Ayanna Cavera, Dakota Cavera and Zoie Mears.
