Billie Doris Johnson, 87 of Amarillo passed away February 17, 2015. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Friendship Baptist Church. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Billie was born November 26, 1927 in Young County, Texas to William F. and Mary Pearl(McCord) Rhame. She grew up in Seymour and lived there until she married J.T. Johnson in 1946. Since the 1950s she has been a resident of Amarillo. Billie was the secretary of Friendship Baptist Church for over 50 years and earned a Bachelors Degree from West Texas State University in Social Work. Billie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Larry and B.J. Johnson; a daughter, Jo Carol Marshall and a sister, Joan Shipman and husband Orgie. Billie is survived by a sister, Patricia Powell and husband Bobby; grandsons, Jason Marshall and wife Donna and Ethan Marshall and wife Megan; granddaughters, Hollie Chandler and Tracy Stegmair and husband Juergen; a son-in-law, Michael Marshall; eight great-grandchildren, Reagan, Tyler, Benjamin, Madison, Sarah Beth, Ella, Kayli and Hunter and numerous nieces and nephews.
