Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Rodger Johnson, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Betty was born April 30, 1934, in Yates, N.M., to Gordon and Velma Cargill Shaw. She was married to Elmer “Sonny” Mincey. She was a loving mother and housewife. Betty loved playing canasta and dancing, and she was an avid reader of romance novels.
She was the cafeteria manager at Mesa Verde Elementary School for many years. Betty attended Northside Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steven; a daughter, Cindy; and a great-grandson, Cagney.
Survivors include her husband, Sonny; two sons, Kevin Black and wife Cami and Donald Mincey and wife Venice, all of Amarillo; two daughters, Cheryl Adams and husband Jimmy and Linda Wilson and husband Glen, all of Amarillo; a brother, Gary Shaw of New Mexico; two sisters, Priscilla Loden of Amarillo and Mary Etta Ragland of Aurora, Colo.; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
