Sharon grew up in Oklahoma with her sister Janet till the age of 15, when she hitchhike to California then later made her way back To settled in Amarillo Texas with her mother who was living in Amarillo at the time. Sharon was employed at Skaggs Albertson’s when she met her lifelong best friend who was always by her side Sheila Gamblin. Later in 1963 Sharon met Charles E Williams at a party. They dated for a while then was married June 5 of 1965. Charles and Sharon had been married 57 years at the time of her passing. They had two children Carl D Williams and Kimberly Kanoa-Aponi. In the 80s Sharon was a clown with her good friend Beth. Sharon was one of the first employees of Target when they opened and worked there several years. Later she became a school bus driver for Bushland ISD. She loved the kids that rode her bus and adored her grandchildren. The grandkids have lots of fond memories of their grandma Sharon. Sharon was brave, strong willed, spunky, funny, and was joking all the way to her passing.
Left on this earth to carry on Sharon’s legacy is her spouse Charles Edwin Williams of Amarillo, Texas, son Carl and wife Angie Williams of Amarillo, Texas, daughter Kimberly Kanoa-Aponi of Amarillo, Texas, brother Darrell Ray and wife Patty Moats of Edgewood, sister Janet Estelle Smith of Andrews, Texas, aunt Barbara Croslin of Lexington, Oklahoma and Aunt Fay Farrow from Boise, Idaho, grandchildren Destiney, Stetson and Kayla, Hailey, Hannah and Tristen of Amarillo, Texas, Tori of Dalhart, Texas, and great-grandchildren Liberty, Mila, Enoch, Kaiser of Amarillo, Texas and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Orville D Farrow and Mary Ann Croslin, her great-granddaughter Avery and several adored uncles, aunts and cousins.
A visitation for Ann will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 Interstate 40 East, Amarillo, Texas 79118. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 6969 Interstate 40 East, Amarillo, Texas 79118. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 6969 Interstate 40 East, Amarillo, Texas 79118.
Serving as pallbearers are Hailey Clark, Carl Dee Williams, Stetson Dee Williams and Kimberly Kanoa-Aponi.
The Williams family would like to give a heartfelt special thanks to Dr. Merki and nurse Carol, Nurse Elena, all BSA nurses and doctors, EMT’s, BSA hospice and Visiting Angels.
