Yolanda Marie Richardson, 66, of Longwood, FL and formerly of Brooklyn, NY passed away on February 7, 2017. Affectionately known as “Yoli” and “Landa,” she was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Yolanda was born to the late Frederick and Geraldine Poreé in New Orleans, LA on December 10, 1950. She met her husband of 45 years, William “Bill” Richardson, while working at a bank in New York. They were married in Brooklyn on July 24, 1971. Yolanda loved living in New York near a majority of her family. She worked as a title researcher, first for Realty Research, and eventually as an independent contractor. Yolanda was great at her job and had a naturally social personality. She also had a passion and a gift for cooking. Yolanda was a wonderful mother, both to her children and her beloved dog, Roxy. She had a deep love for New York and moved to Florida when Bill wished to retire to the sunshine state. Yolanda was also a devout Catholic with a charitable spirit. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Yolanda is survived by her husband, William Richardson; her children, Carl Marc Poreé (Cynthia), Yvette Richardson, Colette Richardson (Steve), Shaina M. Lindsey (Joey), and Roxy Richardson; her sister, Gayle Ullah (John); her grandchildren, Talik, Ella, Caileb, Max, Lola and Aiyana; as well as many other extended family and close friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17 from 5-7pm at Baldwin Fairchild West Altamonte, 90 Weathersfield Ave., Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18 at 11am, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 861 Maitland Ave., Altamonte Springs, FL 32701. Interment to follow the funeral mass at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703. If desired, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Yolanda to a charity of your choosing, her favorites being Catholic Charities, giving to the homeless, and any charity benefiting animals.
