Dr. Thomas L Copeland

Beloved Pastor of Faith Creation Fellowship, President of Kingsway Christian Academy, husband, father, granddad and great granddad. Dr. Thomas L Copeland passed away peacefully January 23, 2025 at the age of 85.

After serving in the US Army, he attended Lee University where he received his Bachelor of Theology Degree. Then attended Bob Jones University, where he earned a Masters of Theology. He also attended Rhema Bible Training Center for two years. He received his Doctor of Theology Degree from Faith Christian University at the age of 80.

He devoted his life to God, caring for his family and the people he dearly loved. He was a pastor for 57 years and a husband for 58 years.

Pastor Copeland leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Dian Copeland; his adoring children: Kimberly Lauren Portalatin (David), Kyndal Danae McPherson (Jeremy); his grandchildren: Karly Bartley (Todd), Shekinah Copeland, Kyle Portalatin, Brendin Weiner (Lyssa), Levi Copeland, Makena McPherson, Keily Portalatin, Micah McPherson, Cohen Simpson, Kaleb McPherson, Delaney Simpson; his great grandchildren: Meadow Delva and Killian Bartley; his sister Janice Fisher.

Still

A sense of magic is in the air

And I chance a glance your way.

You’ve cast a spell, which has me bound,

But not one word did I hear you say.

That smile; that look; what could it be

That holds my heart in gentle sway?

I don’t know; but I’ll just give

My heart to you again today.

I love you still.

Though time has come, and time has gone;

And I ever see you anew;

Whatever I see; whatever I say

To you I know that I’ll be true.

Our path of life, though hard and far,

Is jeweled with joys, and not a few.

I hope to finish my time on earth

With faith in God and loving you.

I love you still.

A celebration of life for Thomas will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 4:00 PM at ICP Orlando, 5850 Clarcona Ocoee Rd, Orlando, FL 32810.
