Shirley was born to Wayne J. Rufener and Mary S. Rufener on May 17, 1933 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. She attended and graduated from Chagrin Falls High School before marrying her husband, Thomas W. Easton, Jr., in 1951. The two lived together in the Longwood, Florida area for much of their lives.
In her professional life, Shirley worked as a Secretary at Euclid Road Machinery Company in Cleveland, Ohio, as Executive Secretary to the Superintendent of Orange School District in Moreland Hills, Ohio, and as a Medical Records Secretary at medical offices in Chagrin Falls, Ohio and Apopka, Florida. She and her husband Tom were members of Journey Christian Church in Apopka.
Shirley is survived by Tom, her husband of 68 years, her sister Joan K. Allen of Leesburg, FL and her two daughters, Sharon Ann Stahler (Roger) and Susan Easton Willard (Karl), both of Longwood. She also is survived by four grandchildren: Jaclyn M. O'Brian, Bradford T. Willard, Roger T. Stahler, Jr., and Darcie J. Stahler, along with five loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends. Shirley was a kind, loving and proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and a cancer survivor of over 20 years.
Visitation (10:00 am), Services (11:00 am) and Reception (12:00 pm) with friends and family will be Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home located at 90 Weathersfield Ave, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. Private gravesite services with Shirley's family will follow at the Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to, The American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association or Journey Christian Church, Apopka, FL in memory of Shirley A. Easton.
