Robert J. (“Bob”) Fritz, formerly of Casselberry, passed away after an extended illness on April 2, 2016, in Winter Haven, FL. Born on June 8, 1941, in Merrill, WI, to Robert B. and Eleanor (Chilsen) Fritz, Bob enjoyed a childhood of hunting, camping, and fishing in northern Wisconsin. He graduated from Appleton High School in Appleton, WI, and from Parsons College in Fairfield, IA. Bob married Ann Peterson of Washington, IA, on March 9, 1963. Bob proudly served in the United States Army in the mid-1960s and, like his father, worked in the insurance industry. Bob and Ann and their sons Robert A. (Rob) and David moved to Casselberry, FL, in 1973, where Bob continued his career as an insurance adjustor and mediator until retiring in 1999. Bob enjoyed fishing, wood-working, and volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America. He was especially proud of his work with Boy Scout troops consisting of Scouts with special needs. Preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother Ruth B. Fritz, and his step-brother John Fritz, Bob is survived by his loving family: Ann, his devoted wife of 53 years, sons Rob (Audrey) and David (Brandy), five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Inurnment with military honors will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at 2PM at All-Faiths Memorial Park in Casselberry. A reception will follow at Baldwin Fairchild East Altamonte Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Cornerstone Hospice of Winter Haven, FL.
