Robert Lloyd Abernethy, age 86 of Altamonte Springs, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Concord Street Church of Christ in Orlando, Florida. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lloyd & Jennie Belle (Carpenter) Abernethy, Sr. and he is survived by his wife, Wendy Abernethy of Altamonte Springs, by his son & daughter-in-law, Robert (David) and Beth Abernethy of St. Petersburg, by his son & daughter-in-law, Steve and Dr. Amy Abernethy, of Winter Park, by his daughter, Karen Abernethy Schneider of Charlotte, NC; and grandchildren, Cameron Abernethy, Casey Abernethy, Devan Schneider, Alex Schneider, Katie Schneider, Ella Abernethy and Colton Abernethy, as well as his niece and her husband, Joanna & V. Scott Cone of Monroe, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
