Ramona McGrew

In loving memory of Ramona June McGrew, who passed away on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023 at the age of 94, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 10, 1928 in Steubenville, Ohio to her parents Paul Albert Utzler and Mildred Virginia Brownlee.

Ramona graduated from Wintersville High school and soon after met her husband Maurice Leroy McGrew, who had just come home from the war. They married in 1948 and spent 47 years together before his passing in 1995.

Ramona was a fiercely devoted mother to her 8 beautiful children; Darrel (Mary), Paul, Marcia, Marty (Debbie), Brian, Lisa, Michelle, and Mary Ann. She was also the proud grandmother to 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Ramona is preceded in death by her husband Maurice Leroy McGrew; son Marty Robert McGrew; and grandson Michael Brian McGrew.

Our mother was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was the matriarch of our family, a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service/Celebration of Life on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 994 E Altamonte Dr, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701, followed by a Funeral Service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Cemetery services will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
