Paul Brooks Pendleton, 74, of Fern Park, FL, passed away peacefully in his home on April 29, 2024, after a brief illness. He was born in Daytona Beach, FL, and lived in DeLand, FL until moving to Lake Swan Camp in Melrose, FL under the care of family friends Ray and Lovie Brumbaugh. He attended and graduated from Melrose High School in 1967. He married his high school sweetheart, and they eventually had three sons. After four years in the US Army, he spent his professional life as a surveyor and partner in an underground utility construction business near Orlando, FL. He lost his first wife in a car accident in 1987, and remarried in 1991; his fourth son was born a few years later. Upon retirement in 2010, he spent his time managing residential rentals, playing golf, and roasting coffee beans at home for family and friends. He was a member of the Community Alliance Church in Winter Springs, FL. During his illness, he never lost faith that God’s will was paramount in his life, and he was perfectly content with whatever that would be.
He was known for his quick smile, his honesty, his generosity, his coffee, and - his favorite hat. He was involved with Helping Hands 2U, a volunteer group that helps people in need and provides food and clothing to many of Orlando’s homeless individuals on a regular basis.
Paul is survived by his wife Beth, his sons Jeffrey Paul Pendleton, Travis Lee Pendleton [Danielle], Joshua Denver Pendleton, and Matthew Gill Pendleton; his brother Glenn Doyle Pendleton [Brenda], six grandchildren, two cousins, and multiple in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife Marlene Odom Pendleton, his parents Glenn Doyle and Pauline Pendleton, and his brother John Edward Pendleton.
