Mary Frances Davila-Aponte, 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on July 7th, 2018, as a result of Parkinson’s disease. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Luis, and her grandson, Ryan. Fran is survived by brother Charles (Sharon), sister Ruth (Van), four sons Rob, Vince (Nancy), Chris (Mary Beth), David (Beth) and three daughters Sheila (Wayne), Jenny (Tom) Cathy, eleven grandchildren Angie, Carmen, Louisa, Olivia, Matt, Anthony, Elizabeth, Renee, Robyn, Jackson, Ava, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Fran was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, and attended Washington University where she met her future husband Luis, a career Air Force officer. They moved around to many locales, growing their family along the way, and finally settled in central Florida.
Fran was an active member of Annunciation Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, genealogy, cake decorating, cookie cutter collecting, and growing orchids. She was a member of the Orchid Society and was active in the Lymphedema/Lymphoma Society after surviving cancer. Fran was warm and caring, always kind to those around her.
