He was born in Bronx, New York on April 22,1948 to the late Sarah and David Trencher.
Marty grew up in Surfside, Florida and attended The University of Miami where he studied political science.
He met his future wife while working as the youth director in his parents' hotel in Surfside. He married Raye Louise Trencher, on January 25, 1969. They recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary with their children in their new home in Summerville, South Carolina.
Marty had a long and rewarding career as an executive in both the entertainment and travel industries. His career kicked off with a brick and mortar travel agency in New York. He was a general manager for Six Flags and at a wax museum called Stars Hall Of Fame, in Orlando, Florida. He continued to share his passion for adventure with others as he continued his career in travel as an executive for an international travel company and later went on to start one of the top cruise-only online travel agencies with his wife Raye. As a way to honor his father, David Trencher, he also built and owned a true New York Style Deli in Orlando, Florida.
He tirelessly worked to serve those around him as a volunteer firefighter for many years at the Hillcrest Fire Department in New York, as well as a long serving city councilman in Winter Springs, Florida. He also had a passion for reading, was a true Parrot Head and Jimmy Buffet fan, loved his Miami Hurricanes, and enjoyed tackling any and all projects around the house.
After getting one as his first car in 1966, he fell in love with Ford Mustangs. Later in life, his wife, Raye, gifted him with a convertible red Ford Mustang, which he continued to enjoy through the rest of his life. Marty was the ultimate provider for his family, planning numerous family gatherings that brought everyone together. He loved being a part of all his children and grandchildren’s many interests. He also loved traveling and cruising the world with his wife. They felt fortunate to have been able to visit and explore many different parts of the world. Marty loved to spend time with family and support them in everything they did. He lived for the love of his life, Raye…they were inseparable and cherished the life they had built together with each other and their children and grandchildren. The immense love between them and for their family will forever have an impact on everyone they knew and lives on in the hearts of their loved ones.
Marty is survived by his children, Dawn Gesualdi, Darren Trencher and his wife, Deanna; grandchildren, Nick, Cameron, Addison, Mia, and Lauren, and his sister-in-law, Ilene Moore and niece Roni Greenhalge.
