Linda Ruth Kinney Estes was welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on June 25, 2019. Linda was born on December 31st, 1947 in Joplin Missouri to Roy and Ruby Leatherberry Kinney. She graduated in 1966 from Joplin High School and married the love of her life Dale Estes on June 17th, 1968 and has two loving sons. She was co-owner of Estes Construction Company Inc. from 1975 to 2000.
In 2000 Linda and Dale moved to Florida where she enjoyed gardening, decorating, cooking and spending time at the beach. One of her favorite things was getting up early on Saturday mornings and going to the farmers market to see the latest plants and flowers. She always had a beautiful flower garden. Linda enjoyed every day to the fullest. We never ended a conversation without me saying "I love you" and she would always reply with "I love you more". She was the wisest person I have ever known and was always thinking of ways to help her family. God blessed me with someone that was loving, loyal, kind and would always put everyone's best interest first. Because she was so giving it makes it so hard to let go. We feel this gaping hole in our hearts that will never close but I take comfort in knowing that she is in the loving arms of Jesus and I thank Him for letting me take care of her for all of these years. I miss my Baby and look forward to seeing her again. She was a loving and devoted wife, a nurturing mother and best friend. Linda was a pillar of strength, a selfless, giving and genuine woman with a tremendous faith in God and was active in the church from the time she was a little girl until her passing.
One of her favorite Scriptures was Psalm 91: 1-2
Whosoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, " He is my refuge and fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
Linda was preceded in death by her Parents, Brothers Bud and David Kinney and her Sister Larita Tharp. She is survived by her Husband of 51 years Dale, Son Michael Estes of Orlando Florida, Son Matthew Estes and beautiful Daughter in-Law Roseann of Altamonte Springs Florida.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
