I am very sorry to see this sad news. I knew Kyle when he was a young kid playing tennis at the same tennis clubs as myself, I am not surprised he turned out to be a great success in life. My deepest condolences to Kyle's beautiful family. God Bless.

I just learned of this very sad news. I played on the St. John’s tennis team with Kyle in 1986/1987. He was a great tennis player and worked harder than everyone. I didn’t get to keep in touch but I wanted to pass along my sincere condolences and prayers for the family.  God Bless the Mason family.

I just recently heard the sad news regarding Kyle. He was the manager of my bank in Louisville.  Always there to help out or make things happen.  I remember in 2018 l was traveling with a popular singer and was always calling to check in on my account and he would take my calls or return them promptly. I wish his family the warmest thoughts. I was fortunate to wear the black and red of the University of Cincinnati tennis team along with Kyle.  He was the ultimate team player; able to diffuse any disagreements, and quick with a joke or smile.  That being said, he liked to win, and I”ll always remember his guttural C’MON after putting away a big point.  It was Kyle’s selfless spirit that brought the UC tennis team back together this past eighteen months.  His strength through his earthly struggles is indescribable.  I will miss him, but know that his wealth of happiness was shared with us all.   C’MON!  Love and peace to all the Mason family.

I had totally forgotten that we spent my 40th birthday in Lexington while visiting Horse races at Keenland.

This is part of my 40th birthday in Lexington. Kyle is brightening up the picture.

I was shocked when I first heard of Kyles Illness. We had not talked in a while but started communicating again.  Whenever we spoke or texted he was extremely positive and was focused on beating the disease.  Angie and I were fortunate to visit Kyle, Shannon and Gabrielle 6 months ago in Florida.  Even though it had been awhile since we had seen each other, it was just like the old times, we had such a great time.  Kyle’s memory was 10 times better than mine.  He remembered so many stories of the past that I had forgotten.   He looked great and you would not have known what he was going through.  I really thought he had a chance at beating the odds, If anyone could it was him.  
Kyle will be greatly missed!

I met Kyle when we worked together at 5/3 Bank.   He was the branch manager and I was the investment advisor for his location.  We quickly became friends and it was not long before we were hanging out together with my girlfriend and now wife Angie and Shannon.  We had so many fun times together, tailgating and going to football games, going to dinner, playing cards, trips to the lake, traveling to Cancun together (for my wedding) - so many great memories.  
I worked with a lot of great people at the bank but I can honestly say Kyle was one of the hardest working, most loyal, positive people I ever worked with.  5/3 was a challenging place to work, you always had new managers come in that would set these high goals and expectations and make many changes, Kyle was one of the few that never complained, he stuck with bank even when they would make him work weekends and would constantly demand more.  He was loyal to his family, to his friends, and even loyal to his job.  
I was fortunate I was able to play tennis with Kyle.   My usta tennis team needed players and Kyle agreed to come play with us even though he had not played for over 10 years.  We quickly realized how good Kyle was so we had to hide him somewhat.   Our team won the state championship that year with help of Kyle.  My job playing with Kyle was just getting out of his way.  Kyle loved to compete.  He was so nice off the court but when it was game time Kyle was intense.  He would hit a big shot and yell come on!  I loved it.   I do not think we lost a match together that year.  Of course Kyle got bumped up to higher level where he belonged the next year.  



I met Kyle many years ago because we had an Au Pair like the Mason's. We also ended up playing in the same tennis team around 2007. We enjoyed time together over the years. We moved in 2010 and the Mason's moved eventually to FL but we always stayed in contact because of Tennis. 
I happy that I was able to see Kyle twice over the last 12 months and I feel like we got closer than we ever had. The amazing thing is he supported me more than I supported him but I hope he enjoyed the time together. I will miss texting Kyle about tennis and the talks when we catch up and support each other.

So many wonderful memories of Kyle and I am grateful for each one.  No matter where he was or the situation, he brought joy.   His smile, positivity, and selflessness were unmatched. His support of others, what they needed and how he could help … so consistent.   Every team member he ever had truly loved working with him. He was incredibly proud of his family.  Kyle was a wonderful person, mentor, friend to myself and so many others—so lucky for the time we had with him. He will be missed so very much.

Kyle’s  memory will remain with me as I remanence on the early years with Gabrielle as a little girl. Kyle was my boss alongside his wife Shannon as I was their nanny and I got to intimately see a version of Kyle most did not. He was a great sport with attending Disney activities and watching the Disney classics with GEM. We even shared a stomach virus after traveling to the DR in 2006. Kyle loved his dog Candy so much, I remember his and Shannon’s shared affection for that sweet dog.  Kyle was a wonderful guy who loved his wife and daughter beyond measure. Kyle was one of the most even keeled people I have ever met! He was nothing but kind and caring and the love he felt for his wife Shannon and their daughter Gabrielle is incomparable. Kyle was the ebb to Shannons flow and it made for a beautiful relationship. Kyle was an extraordinary  father who was so patient, encouraging and loving with his daughter Gabrielle. Kyle was one of those genuine people who showed you that he cared about you. He was a caring husband, a loving father and an excellent friend & teammate.  A rare bread. He was kind, patient and until the end, a warrior! God only surrounds himself with the greatest people. That is why he chose Kyle early.  Rest in peace Kyle. May your family find solace in knowing that you were loved and cherished by everyone who knew you! 

Kyle was a few years older than me on the Toledo area junior tennis circuit.  I have fond memories of spending endless summer days with him at Shadow Valley tennis club in the late 80s and early 90s; we were both obsessed with the sport. 

Kyle was an an ideal role model.  I tried to emulate not only his monster kick serve (sometimes successfully), but also his level headed temperament and quiet confidence (often unsuccessfully).  He was just a great person on and off the court.

Kyle was a wonderful soul who was loved by so many.  Over the past 18 months whenever we spoke it was always us laughing and smiling, not one time did I ever hear Kyle feeling down about his prognosis or question why did this happened to him.  I hope to have his courage one day when being faced with adversity like he was this past year.  He was such a positive, kind person who loved life and more importantly loved his family.  He would always talk with so much pride about Shannon and Gabrielle, they were the reasons he fought so hard this past year. He was a winner in everything he did, professionally but more importantly he was a winner in life.  You will be greatly missed and more importantly your kindness and your presence will not be forgotten.

I worked with Kyle for about 6 years. He helped me immensely with my career and stayed a mentor for many years after. He had a big heart and even bigger smile. Sending deepest condolences to Kyle’s family. Kyle and I were in the same first grade class in Toledo, Ohio. Although he changed schools, we played tennis at the same club growing up. We lost touch for many years and reconnected a few years ago thanks to facebook. He shared his battle with cancer and I shared being the mother of a child with cancer. Kyle was a kind soul. I am sure that he fought until the end. I wish him peace now.

Dammnnnnnnn… Love you Kyle, I will miss you.  You always brought out the best in me not only the tennis court, but more importantly how to be modest and team player off the court.   You were truly a leader of how to lead and perform in the right way (always)!!   The last time we played for the number #1 singles at SJJ when I was a junior and Kyle was senior, he beat me 6-7, 7-5, 6-7 (12-14).  Crazy.. to think of that time, I was totally fine to lose to Kyle, because he exemplified what the the team needed at time, not only a great tennis player!  but more importantly a good captain and person. I was quite heartbroken to learn of Kyle's passing. Although I have not seen or spoken with him in quite some time (except for Facebook), I have very fond memories of him from what now seems another lifetime.

I knew Kyle from our time at 5/3 Bank in FL. Kyle was a great man who genuinely cared about others and had a world of patience. Only the good go young, and Kyle only further credits that old saying. We’ll miss you, man. I will never forget the kindness you showed me as a new Branch Manager finding his way back in a busy banking world. Rest in paradise, comrade. 

I knew Kyle as a kid growing up in South Toledo, and we went to high school together at St. John's Jesuit. I was a good tennis player - Kyle was a tremendous tennis player. He had a quiet class about him on the court. He knew he was one of the best players in the area, but he didn't have an arrogance about him. He was a quality teammate. All he did was take care of business on the court and then encourage those of us who were still struggling to win our matches. I was so very sorry to hear of his illness, and I was glad to re-connect last year, even if it was just to exchange a few texts and share a few old videos from the state team tournament in 1990. I hope it brightened his day. I hope he is in a better place now, still closing out opponents with those textbook groundstrokes.

I am so sorry to hear of Kyle's passing.  Sending love and prayers to the Mason family.  I will cherish so many childhood memories we made together playing in the neighborhood.  Rest in peace.

Kyle and I worked together at Fifth Third.   He was more than an employee, he was a friend.  We talked about work, family, and hobbies.  He was deeply proud of his family and lived life with a positivity that impacted so many around him.  Even though we have not seen it each other over the last several months, he would still reach out and ask about my family and give me updates on how he was doing.  My prayers and sympathies go out to his family.  When God can't make someone better, they make them perfect.

I worked with Kyle for many years at Fifth Third.  We remained in touch even after his move to Florida.  I will greatly miss him.  My family and I prayed for him, Shannon, and Gabrielle over the many months that Kyle fought this battle.  We will continue to pray for you both.  

Kyle was an extraordinary person.  He was always smiling, always kind, and always helpful.  He was a great friend and colleague.  I know he faced his sickness with hope and concern for his family.  I also know he had a great peace.    

Kyle and I worked together at Fifth Third and were fortunate enough to attend a President's Circle trip together. I'll remember Kyle for always being so kind, warm, respectful, and generous. He cared  about his employees, peers, and customers. He loved working for Fifth Third and made sure to reach out to myself and so many others after moving to Florida. He loved his family so much and spoke so proudly of them. Sending all of his family and friends so much love and prayers, especially to Shannon and Gabrielle. I can't imagine the pain you're in but I hope you know how many people cared for your husband and dad.
