Kevin Frater, 37, of Longwood, Fl. passed away on December 23, 2017. Kevin was born in Media, Pennsylvania and at 3 1/2 years old moved to Longwood, Fl. with his family. He graduated from Lake Mary High School, and received an AA degree from Seminole Community College. He then attended the University of South Florida. Kevin had a strong love of the outdoors and the environment and for many years worked in the environmental protection industry. He especially loved surfing and fishing. He surfed in Florida and also in Costa Rica. Kevin spent many years fishing and kayaking on the Wekiva River. He even spent several months in Alaska working on a salmon fishing boat. Kevin is survived by his beloved son Owen 8; parents Robert and Patricia; brothers Tim (Lauren) and Robbie. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kevin's memory may be made to Little Smiles of Florida.
