Well, Darlin’, here another year has passed since 2014 and it was your Birthday.  I surely miss you. I sit in my backyard and at least 3-4 times a week a beautiful red bird visits me. You would be so thrilled with how much your son Casey has accomplished! He is such a handsome and respectful young man. Our hearts are still aching because you aren't here!

Hey Mom, I still think about you every day. I wish I could tell you all the things I've accomplished and the places in getting myself. I remember I always told you I'd buy you a big new house for you to live in and I'd buy myself one right next door so I was always close to you. Well, I know you're not physically here with me anymore but I know you're always close to me and you're always listening. What I wouldn't do to just hug you right now though. Hey Mom, I know you've been hearing me talk to you. I talk to you everyday and it's been over a year now and it seems I still can't get it in my head that you're really gone. I find myself thinking I'm going to go see you when I'm not working or wanting to text you. Just like last year, Christmas wasn't as special as it used to be and it never will be again. I just want you to know that I love you more than life itself mom. Nobody will ever take your place and I promise you that. I love you so much mom, I'm glad you're in a better place now. My last visit with you at the funeral home I do regret not raising you up and holding you close to my heart. I could've fixed your hair and I regret that also. I can't seem to come to grasps that you are no longer with us. I had to stop myself on Christmas Eve from sending you a Christmas text. I pray that your family and friends can find peace with God's grace. You left us too soon Jen and I still can't believe you are gone. I've been waiting to find all the right words, but I know I will ever be able to find them. I've already caught myself a couple of times picking up the phone to call you. It still doesn't seem real. I wanted to speak at your service but I couldn't. Everyday since your accident some of the best memories of my childhood have crept back into my head. I've laughed until I've cried with you so many times and I've been reliving a lot of those moments. You were my best friend for 31 years and will be forever. You can never be replaced. Good morning Boo, we will miss your Thanksgiving call today but your spirit is with us. It's like you're really not gone. I will listen to your voice messages again today and it will be like you are truly here with us.
I wanted to let you know how Sean beautifully put together your sweet funeral service. Your flowers were gorgeous, so sweet and pretty, just like you!  My last visit with you gave me peace; I think you were waiting so we could kiss your forehead and say goodbye. Your friend put it best "The world is a smaller place without  Jennifer in it".  I imagine the Lord in Heaven gathering your sweet Grandmother Laura, Buzz, your cousin Lee, plus all the great Grandparents to a grand reception for your entry into Heaven. I can see your beautiful smile and those beautiful eyes lighting up Heaven as you entered. Even though most of our times together were spent texting or talking on the phone, I will keep in my memories how we giggled and laughed till we cried. I kept them all and will listen to them, just like you are still here. Eddie and I will forever be grateful that you sat in that little twin bed and said Yes, you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  As we would always say "Love you too, bye bye".

It's been close to 40 years since I held you in my arms, but I remember that sweet, shy, and petite little blond headed girl that sat on my lap in Florence. Although we didn't keep in touch, as few families do these days, when I heard of your being called to your place in heaven, instead of being happy, I felt sick to my stomach. I realized I missed out on a relationship with a truly beautiful and I'm sure wonderful young lady. For that I'm truly sorry and it's my loss. Hopefully, I'll never let this happen with another family member again in my lifetime. I want you to know I'll miss you, but I want you to be sure you look up your first cousin Lee, our youngest son who the Lord called home at age 25 in 1995. Give him a big hug, he'll know who you are and tell him your aunt Lib and uncle Jerry said they missed him. 
Your loving memory will be with us for the rest of our lives.
