Jennifer was born on May 18th, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN and grew up in the Robbinsdale area. She graduated from Robbinsdale High School and later attended Bowling Green State University, earning a B.A. in psychology and sociology. While raising a family, Jennifer became a certified Montessori teacher and spent many years teaching elementary school students. In 1997, following aspirations to own her own school, she co-founded and co-owned Montessori Children's Academy near Winter Park, FL where she served as an administrator and teacher for 9 years. All the while she pursued a lifelong love of music, playing and sometimes performing both violin and guitar. She combined her love of music and education teaching many children to play piano. In retirement, she continued to advocate for education volunteering as an instructor for the local Adult Literacy League. She also wrote and self-published a children's series of phonics books. She was an active member of The Chapel of Spiritual Light in College Park, FL. She loved spending time with her family and friends and could often be found with her "ladies card playing group" or playing a board game with her grandson.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents; Carl Russell Ceder and Margery Moody Ceder-Hegquist, Brother; Jonathan Ceder.
Jennifer is survived by her loving husband of 44 years; Doyle Henning. Two sons; Quinn (Kara) Henning and Denton Henning. One grandson; Ryan Henning all of Orlando, FL. Sister in-law; Fran Ceder. Two nieces; Erin (Joel) Blahnik and Briana (Matt) Johnson. One nephew; Nathan (Rachel) Ceder and 7 great-nephews all of Minnesota.
A Memorial service will be held on March 17, 2024 at Baldwin Fairchild located at 90 Weathersfield Ave. Altamonte Springs, FL 32714
