Hubert Earl Johnson

Hubert "Earl" Johnson, 87 years of Apopka, Florida, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Earl was born September 23, 1933 in Soperton, Georgia to Quillion Bdillion Johnson and Laura Mae Johnson.

Earl and Juanita were married on August 7, 1954. He immediately left to serve his country in the Army from August 1954 to July 1956. While in service he received the "Army Occupation Medal" (Germany) and a "Good Conduct" medal. After being discharged, returned to the states and became employed by the Department of Transportation in Florida, retiring after 36 years.

Earl is survived by his wife, Juanita after 67 happy , precious years of marriage, his daughter Katie (Ron) Miller of Winter Garden, FL; His son Keith ( Pam) Johnson of Winter Garden, FL; His son Ken (Krystal) Johnson of Mt. Dora, FL; His daughter Kim (Jeremy) Herrington of Seminole, FL; and his sister Joyce (George) Ely of Leesburg, FL.

Earl is also survived by 7 grandkids and 4 great grandkids, Earl was preceded in death by his sister, Geneva Clardy.

Earl Johnson was a founder and active member of the Sorrento Church of God.

He finally got what he had been praying about for so very long- to go home and be with his Jesus!!

A visitation for Hubert will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sorrento Church of God, 31605 Orange Street, Sorrento, FL 32776. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 31605 Orange Street, Sorrento, FL 32776. A committal service will occur Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, FL 32703.
