Larson, Glendora V. 100 passed away July 17, 2023 in Longwood, FL. She was born on April 3. 1923 in Chicago, IL to the late Reinhold and Ellen Nilsson. After graduating from high school, she worked as a secretary in the General Superintendent's office at U.S. Steel in Chicago during the four years of World War II. She then attended and graduated from Wheaton College in the class of 1948, becoming a high school English teacher. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, John E. Larson, in 2000. She spent 42 years in Chicago, 11 years in Richmond, Virginia, and moved to Longwood, Florida 1976. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, devoted to her family and to her church. She and her late husband were charter members of the Wekiva Presbyterian Church in Longwood, FL, where they both faithfully served their Lord for many years. She is survived by her son Paul & daughter-in-law Linda Larson of Longwood, FL, son David & daughter-in-law Tina Larson of Longwood, FL, grandchildren, Lauren Larson, Alyssa and husband Adrian Andrade, Daniel Larson & Brian Larson, great-grandchild, Aubree Ruble. Memorial Service to be held at Wekiva Presbyterian Church, Longwood, FL on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wekiva Presbyterian Church, 211 Wekiva Springs Lane, Longwood, FL 32779 or to the Lifespace Foundation Brede Wilkins Scholarship Fund, Village on the Green, 500 Village Place, Longwood, FL 32779.
