Charles “Charlie” Wayne Vaught, 74, of Orlando, FL passed away on February 15, 2016. He was born to the late Irby and Ruth Vaught in Montgomery, AL on January 22, 1942. Charlie was a family man to his core. He loved his family, and cherished every moment spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His second love was racing. As his granddaughter Melissa states, he loved any kind of race, “from turtles to cars.” If there was a race of any type happening, Charlie was there to see it and with the same excitement as if it was his first race experience. Professionally, Charlie was a truck driver for the same company for over 45 years, A-1 Block. He was known for his consistency, dependability, and for being a good husband, father, and grandfather. Charlie will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Hilda Vaught; children Brenda Boyd and David Vaught (Pam); grandchildren Melissa Jennings (Ricky), Lisa Cruz (Robert), and Amber Boyd; great-grandchildren Ava, Madison, and Sophia; as well as many other close relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 20 from 9:30am-11:00am at Baldwin Fairchild West Altamonte, 90 Weathersfield Avenue, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. Service will follow at 11am. Interment will follow service at Highland Memory Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of Baldwin Fairchild West Altamonte, an honored Dignity Memorial provider.
