She was born in Baltimore, Maryland before moving to Denver, Colorado and ultimately establishing her home in Central Florida.
She was married to the love of her life for 45 years. The last six years of their marriage she devoted to caring for him and never left his side during his battle with ALS. They fought it together, side by side, as a united front, which is how they handled all of life.
She was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Sherry and Lori. She stayed home until both her children were school aged. Then she worked part time so she could still be in the pick up line every day. After her daughters got older, she worked full time as an administrative assistant at PSI until she retired.
Barbara was the glue that held it all together. She was an expert boo boo mender and believed there were unexplainable healing powers in Neosporin & Bactine. She was the ultimate caretaker which extended to anyone who needed her.
Barbara absolutely loved being a Grandma. She was dedicated and devoted. She attended every sporting event her grandchildren participated in. She sat in Chapel every Wednesday. She helped with homework. She never passed up an opportunity to talk about them. She showed them her faith and support in everything that she did. Her life revolved around her family.
She was the purest of spirits, the kindest of souls and a selfless example to all of us. She was an angel on earth long before she was an angel in heaven.
