Ruth Laurent Miley

Passed away peacefully at home on October 20, 2016 at the age of 89 after a long illness. Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Col. James Francis Miley and mother to Frances Miley Hudson (William) of Vero Beach, Florida, Mark Laurent Miley of Richmond, VA, Patricia Miley Rehberg (Neal) of Renick, West Virginia, Susan Miley Murphy (Paul) of Alexandria, Virginia, and Matthew Laurent Miley (Caitlin) of Richmond, Virginia. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brendan Murphy (Ashland) of Centreville, Virginia, and Patrick, Carolyn, and Sean Murphy of Alexandria, Virginia; a brother, Edmund Laurent of Scotsdale, Arizona; sisters Elizabeth Brennan (Paul) of Deland, Florida and Helen Hyers of Jackson, New Jersey; sister-in-law Eleanor Antonia Shivers of Des Moines, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Fort Myer Old Post Chapel. Ruth will be laid to rest alongside her husband Jim in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
