Patricia Redding Hunt

Patricia, born October 5, 1940, grew up in the New Haven, CT area. She graduated from Upsala College in 1962. Patricia moved to Washington DC to take a job with USIA. In DC, she met Ross Hunt whom she married on May 2nd, 1964. She raised 2 children in Alexandria, and following their graduation from college, began a career with the IRS or as she like to say “The Government” as a Systems Analyst. While working she furthered her education earning multiple degrees in Computer Science. She retired in 1998 to spend time with her grandchildren and travel with her husband.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ross Hunt; her daughter Rebecca (Joe) Brocato; her son Ross (Susan) Hunt III; 5 grandchildren, Josie, Isabelle, Jackson Brocato, Baylor and Matt Hunt, all of Alexandria.

Friends are invited to visit on Monday November 28, from 5PM to 8PM at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 S. Washington St. Alexandria 22314. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 29 at10 am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church 228 S. Pitt St. with internment to follow at Ivy Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Prevent Cancer Foundation or Capital Caring Hospice in her name.
