She leaves behind her husband of 6 years, James, and their daughters, Katie (almost 3) and Ellie (5 months). She is also survived by her mother, Sue Webb, her brother, Steven Webb, and her sisters, Karen Webb and Debbie Canyock. Her father, Bob Webb, preceded her in death.
She has worked for Public Opinion Strategies, a survey research firm in Old Town Alexandria, since 1995 and worked her way up from an entry level research assistant position to become Chief Operating Officer. She previously worked for the Connecticut State Senate and as campaign manager for Tom Scott's gubernatorial campaign. She is a 1994 graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, where she was student government president.
A remembrance in honor of Kim will be held starting at 11am Saturday December 3 at Belle Haven Country Club at 6023 Fort Hunt Rd Alexandria, Virginia 22307. This will be followed by a luncheon reception in a different room at the same venue. Children are encouraged to join in the latter.
In lieu of flowers, donation to a 529 College America fund for Kim's children, Katie and Ellie, are welcome. Checks can be made out to “College America” with “Joyner girls” in the memo line and sent to Glen Bolger at Public Opinion Strategies, 214 North Fayette Street, Alexandria, VA 22314.
There are several reasonably priced hotels in the area; the brand new Springhill Suites at 6065 Richmond Highway (571-481-4441) is a very good option.
