Kathleen Alexander Brill

Kathleen (Kay) Alexander Brill passed away peacefully on Saturday May 26, 2016 with her family in Arlington, Virginia at the age of 86. Kay was born in Denver, Colorado May 31, 1929. She was preceded in death by husband General Jay Richard Brill and son Dwight Alexander Brill. Kay leaves behind son Jay R. Brill, wife Jan of Carmel Indiana and son Christopher McClure Brill of Alexandria, Virginia. She has two grandchildren, Jay Matthew Brill, wife Erin and three of her great grandchildren and Catherine Brill Moser, husband Ben and two of her great grandchildren. Kay has resided in Alexandria, Virginia since 1966 and was very active and dedicated to St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church and the Hollin Hall Senior Center. She was a 35 year member and past president of the Mt Vernon Quilters Association and known for her beautiful needle work and amazingly detailed quilts that many family and friends have been fortunate enough to have received from her. Her love of family and never ending generosity to others will be missed by many including her brother Bud and wife Priscilla Alexander along with many nieces, nephews and their families.In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to the St Aidan’s Episcopal Church 8531 Riverside Dr., Alexandria, Virginia 22308
