I have so many great memories of Thorpe. My favorite funny moment was when we went for a walk one day, and as soon as we stepped outside the sun was so bright that I put on orange glittery sunglasses that my niece had left in my car, as mine had disappeared. We didn’t make it half way across the parking lot before Thorpe stopped walking. I asked “What’s wrong?”  Ever so gently, he used one finger to pull the sunglasses slowly down my nose. I laughed and handed them to him, saying “Do you want these?”  He cackled with delight as he put on the sunglasses and happily took a nice long walk with his friends.  

 We liked listening to music together, including Thorpe strumming his guitar. We liked reading books. He was quick to smile. He liked to hold hands when we walked.  Thorpe knew what he wanted and was very determined when he set his mind to something. He was also sweet and loving to those who loved him back.  It seems impossible that he is gone, but his spirit will long be remembered. God bless Jordan, John, and the rest of his family.   I am so very sorry for your unimaginable loss.
