Georgiena Kidd

Georgiena “Gina” Hosaflook Kidd of Spotsylvania, VA passed away on February 3, 2024 at the age of 80. Born on September 25, 1943 to the late Robert L. and Margaret Ellen Garvin Hosaflook, she led a long and fruitful life filled with caring for her family, friends and community.

She is survived by her loving son Jason P. Kidd and his wife Amanda A. Kidd of VA as well as her siblings Helen June Hohle of FL, Linda Morris of VA and David Brown of WV as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her oldest son Brian R. Kidd, her spouse Kenneth K. Kidd and siblings Patsy Marie Cutright and Rodney Hosaflook of WV.

Gina was a dedicated and loving wife and mother and enjoyed volunteering with her sons’ schools and extracurricular activities. She was a devoted employee of the Mt. Vernon Park Association and her contributions to the park will continue to bless families for generations to come. She loved gardening and you could always count on her to know the name of any plant, flower or tree. She also adored her “grandpup” Teddy and always enjoyed giving him belly rubs.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, February 26th at Demaine Funeral Home located at 520 S. Washington St in Alexandria VA at 11 AM. This will be followed by the inurnment at Mt. Comfort (Dignity Memorial) located at 6600 S Kings Hwy in Alexandria at 1:00 PM.
