Betty A Embrey

Betty Embrey was born on July 13th, 1944 in Alexandria, Virginia to Martin and Marie Ayres. Betty graduated from Mount Vernon High School and went on to work for the Congressional Budget Office. Betty retired after 33 years of service and spent her retirement traveling, spending time with friends and loved ones, and volunteering at Mount Vernon Hospital and Plymouth Haven Baptist Church. Betty was a devoted mother to son, Brian and daughter-in-law, Christin Embrey and very active in the lives of her three granddaughters.

Betty Embrey is survived by her son, Brian and his wife Christin Embrey, granddaughters, Kylie, Kacey, and Kenzie Embrey, and sister Elaine. She is preceded in death by her parents Martin and Marie Ayres, sister Linda Jones, and brother Martin (Jackie) Ayres.

The visitation will be held at Demaine Funeral Home in Alexandria, Virginia on January 2nd from 10:00-10:45 am with the funeral ceremony immediately after. Following the visitation and funeral there will be a burial at Mount Comfort Cemetery.
