Barbara Grayson, 84, of Mount Vernon, died April 19th, 2017 at the Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria. Barbara was born October 27, 1932 in Northampton, Massachusetts to John and Berenice Proctor. She is survived by two children: Proctor (Heather) Grayson of Centreville, and Carey (Tom) Gerstner of Newport News; six grandchildren: Tory (Stephanie) Grayson of Charleston, South Carolina; Grant (Brandi) Gerstner of Lexington Park, Maryland; Kyle Grayson of Mount Vernon, Virginia; Alyssa Gerstner of Washington, DC; Eric Gerstner of Newport News, Virginia; and Tarquin Gerstner of Newport News, Virginia; one great grandson, Wesley Grayson; and, beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Barbara’s parents preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at Washington Farm United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon followed by family visitation.
