Virginia Wayne Jones, 81, departed this life to begin her eternal life with the Lord on Friday, May 30, 2014. She was born November 13, 1932, and grew up in Provo, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Hiram V. and Vera Hill Keating. She was also preceded in death by a son, Russell Edward Jones; a brother, H. B. Keating, and a sister, Wilma Dean Keating. Virginia graduated from Lockesburg High School in 1950. She and Edward Jones married in 1955. She was a devoted wife of over 59 years and a beloved mother and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Park Place Baptist Church and a member of the Ladies Soul Winners Sunday School Class. Virginia began her career in 1953 with the Arkansas Highway Department. In 1975, she began a new career with the Pulaski County Special School District and retired after 25 years of service. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Edward Jones; her daughter, Patricia Krogh and husband, JR; grandchildren, Erich and Bethanie Jones of Little Rock; Virginia Ann (Ginger) Jones of Mulberry, Arkansas; Corey Atkeison of Athens, Georgia; Sarah and Abigail Krogh of Hoschton, Georgia; and sisters-in-law, Charlene Keating of Granbury, Texas; and Susie Davidson of Little Rock. Visitation will be 6:00pm until 7:30pm, on Friday, June 6, 2014, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home. Funeral will be 1:00pm, Saturday, June 7, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills with Pastors Gary Lambright, Tommy Brown and Bud Pulley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery with Phillip Heyer, Blake Reigler, Dan Brown, Larry Brown, Harold Shreve, Wayne Keating, Loui Paulkner and Charles Blackmore serving as pallbearers.
