Sue was born in Gainesville, Florida on May 13, 1948. She was a woman of great faith, and an original member of the Full Counsel Metro Church in North Little Rock. Sue was a very active member in her congregation, and an ordained minister serving the youth department and overseeing the donation center. She was part of the prison ministry and worked as a volunteer probation officer for over five years.
Sue was very involved in her community and never missed an opportunity to serve. She truly cared for everyone around her, and always kept water and snacks on hand in her car for those experiencing homelessness or for anyone in need. Sue’s door was always open, and holidays in the Grady household were frequently attended by anyone who needed somewhere to go for a hot meal and the comforts of family.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Colonel Norman Pierre and Hattie “Frances” (née Smith) Stoker.
Survivors include her loving husband of 41 years, Kenneth “Ken” Grady; her daughter, Terrisue Dykes (Stephen); two sons, Paul Peters (Donna), and Brian Peters; her bonus children, Ken Grady, Jr., Christy Darnall, and Jeanne Perkins; her sister, Lisa Stoker (Mitch); three brothers, Mark Stoker (Ruth), Jeffry Stoker (Cheryl), and Tim Stoker (Yvonne); her grandchildren, Savannah, John, Grace, and Payton; as well as her bonus grandchildren, Reed, Morgan, Brian, Cody, Caden, and Case.
The family extends its gratitude to the staff of the Baptist Health Medical Center for your diligent care of Mrs. Grady.
